Barstool Big Cat is playing a dangerous, dangerous game. He has been for quite some time now. The host of Pardon My Take has been putting his pinky finger on the line as an annual tradition. Big Cat picks a team that he declares as dead way too soon and risks his pinky if that team somehow wins the Super Bowl.
This year, Big Cat picked the Colts and for a while, there felt like a real chance Big Cat was going to lose his pinky.
The thrill Big Cat probably felt to watch the Colts blow their playoff chances to the two win Jaguars had to be an adrenaline rush that you can’t explain. But it also begs the question of how risky is Big Cat going to get in the future? This Colts thing may have given Big Cat a little too much confidence in the future.
Does Big Cat up the stakes and take a team that has playoff stakes locked up by midseason? Will Big Cat actually cut off his pinky if he loses this bet? If so, how much of the finger are we talking about? Is it a straight cut at the knuckle or is it going to be a small slice to where you can’t really tell it is ever missing? Lot of questions to think about.
Credit to Big Cat for having this annual pinky finger bet, to begin with. It gets people talking and content is content. Either way, more people in the sports industry should do something similar. Would prevent a lot of the BS that Colin Cowherd does constantly switching sides on things.
